The church was built around 1200. During the 15th and 16th centuries a tower, vaults and porch were added. The frescos in the magnificent vaulted porch are from ca 1470. The big clock was cast in Malmö in 1731, the small clock is possibly medieval.
The alabaster baptising font was sent from Italy to a Russian Grand Duke on a ship which sank outside Rydebäck near Glumslöv. It was later donated to the parish.
